President Asif Zardari appreciated the excellent performance of the Pakistan team in the Azlan Shah Hockey Cup. In a statement, he said that the Pakistan team played the best in the entire tournament, including the final. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, paid great tribute to the green shirts. While doing this, he said that the players have won the hearts of the nation. Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab announced to give a reward of one lakh rupees to each player of the team.
