Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, with the support of Social Transformation and Advancement Program and Pakistan Society of Development Economics started the festival in Islamabad. On the first day, participants discussed the issue of bureaucratic economic reforms in Pakistan, especially tax collection. The speakers said that transparency and continuity of democratic system is important for economic growth in Pakistan. Public tax money is spent on debt repayments
